The Indiana School Scholarship Tax Credit Program was created in 2009 to help provide tuition support for low to middle income families to enroll their children in a participating private school of their choice. Tax Credit Scholarships are granted at a minimum of $500 and may be up to full tuition, depending upon the school's program.
Does my child qualify for a Tax Credit Scholarship?
To be eligible, a student must meet all of the following requirements:
1. Be a resident of Indiana
2. Family is 400% below the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Income Guidelines*

Is the Tax Credit Scholarship the same thing as a Choice Scholarship voucher?
No, the two scholarships are funded separately, but both are part of Indiana's School Choice initiative.
Choice Scholarships (voucher) are state funded scholarships
Tax Credit Scholarships are fully funded by private, charitable donations made to the Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO)
Some students may be eligible to receive both a Choice Scholarship (voucher) and a Tax Credit Scholarship in the same year. Students who receive a Tax Credit Scholarship may become eligible for a Choice Scholarship (voucher) the following school year.
Who is the Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) for schools in the diocese?
All 14 participating Catholic schools in the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana partner with the Institute for Quality Education as the Scholarship Granting Organization.
