Diocesan College Scholarships

The Christopher Warner Memorial Scholarship was established in 1987 as a memorial to Christopher Warner of St. Patrick's Parish, Kokomo, who died at the age of 19.

The $1000 scholarship is awarded to recognize a high school senior in the Local Church of Lafayette-in-Indiana, who demonstrates his/her Catholic faith and identity through commitment and service to his/her parish, school, and community.

The scholarship selection committee will use the following criteria to determine the scholarship recipient.

• The student demonstrates his/her faith though a commitment of service to parish, school and community. 

The Diocesan Leadership Scholarship was established in 1994.

The $1000 scholarship is awarded to recognize a high school senior in the Local Church of Lafayette-in-Indiana, who demonstrates active participation and Catholic leadership in their parish and parish youth ministry program.
 
The scholarship selection committee will use the following criteria to determine the scholarship recipient.

• Serves in leadership role in their parish youth ministry program or parish program.
• Demonstrates leadership in their parish or parish youth ministry efforts.

The Northcentral Indiana Hispanic Scholarship fund was established to provide financial assistance, in the form of a $1000 scholarship, to be awarded to:

1. A currently enrolled senior at a public or Parochial high school within the diocese who will meet graduation requirements this semester, OR
2. A student who has previously graduated from a public or a Parochial high school within the diocese or who has completed a GED

• Be Hispanic, having at least one Hispanic parent.
• Be a practicing Roman Catholic with a written recommendation from his/her parish priest.
• The applicant’s GPA for his/her senior academic year (or for his/her most recent collegiate/trade school academic year) must be “B” (or equivalent numerical grade) or higher. GED certificate may be provided in lieu of school transcript.
