Trudy is a lifelong Hoosier, growing up in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, the youngest of seven children. She attended Holy Cross Grade School and Scecina High School in Indianapolis. She studied elementary education at Indiana University. While in college she met her husband, Cary. Shortly after graduation, they married and settled in Indianapolis in the St. Pius Parish.
After a few years, they moved to Carmel and joined Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish where they have been members and celebrated Mass for the past 27 years. Cary and Trudy have six children, all of whom, remain active in their faith.
Trudy received her degree in Education in 1987 and a Masters degree in School Administration in 1995. She has been actively involved in education for 35 years as a teacher and administrator. She has participated in specific training and in on-going education. Trudy is a certified school safety specialist, has been trained in crisis recovery and mental health, has extensive experience in curriculum development, leadership, student services, and teacher evaluation.
Most importantly, Trudy is a collaborative leader that believes in life-long learning. Her faith guides her in building strong relationships and is deeply embedded in her work each day.
