Job Title: Early Learning Aide and Aftercare Teacher (Part-Time, Hourly)

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Early Learning Aide and Aftercare Teacher. In this dual role, you will support the educational and developmental needs of our early learning students during school hours and provide care and enrichment activities for students during the aftercare program.

Responsibilities: Early Learning Aide:

Assist classroom teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for early-learning students.
Provide individualized attention and support to students to ensure their academic and social growth.
Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and respected.
Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities.
Supervise students during transitions, meals, and outdoor playtime.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to assess student progress and address any concerns or challenges.
Uphold and promote the Catholic values and principles of the school community in all interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

Aftercare Teacher:

Supervise and engage students in enrichment activities during the aftercare program hours M-Thurs (3:00 pm - 6:00 pm).
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.
Provide homework assistance and academic support as needed.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student participation and behavior in the aftercare program.
Maintain a clean and organized aftercare space.

Qualifications:

A commitment to the mission and vision of St. Mary School.
Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional coursework or certification in early childhood education or related field is preferred.

Schedule:

Early Learning Aide hours are flexible and will be determined based on school needs and applicant availability.
Aftercare program hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
