St. John the Baptist Preschool in Tipton, IN is seeking a Full-Time Preschool Director for our 3, 4, 5, and Junior Kindergarten program. At St. John’s Preschool we strive to develop thinking skills, language skills, physical skills, emotional and social skills of our students as well as provide a wonderful environment for spiritual development. The Director would oversee all curriculum development, implementation, and classroom instruction as well as supervise and work closely with the Assistant Teacher. Additionally, the director would facilitate registration, market and grow the program, and serve on the Pastorate Leadership Team.
Summary: Responsible for the successful operation of the pre-school.
Essential Duties:
1. Hire, train, manage and oversee the preschool staff to ensure quality early childhood education.
2. Train new employees and provide ongoing training for all preschool staff.
3. Coordinate the preschool schedule/calendar.
4. Serve as the lead customer service contact for families in the preschool; including answering questions, welcoming families and promoting the program.
5. Act as the liaison between the preschool and other areas of the parish.
6. Work with accounting or business manager to establish, monitor and analyze the preschool budget.
7. Develop and implement preschool policies and procedures.
8. Order supplies for the preschool.
9. Coordinate and attend all preschool functions.
10. Conduct preschool staff meetings and develop fundraising initiatives.

Education/Experience:
· Completion of or progress towards a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
· Current Certification in CPR/First Aid.
· Possess Respect & ability to uphold Catholic School Teachings.
· Able to honor & maintain confidentiality.
· Able to pass and maintain Diocesan child safety protocols.
· Supervisory experience preferred.
· Should be familiar with pre-school curriculum and best practices to implement instruction.
