Central Catholic Jr/Sr. High School:
Central Catholic Jr. /Sr. High School, established in 1957, is a Roman Catholic Jr./Sr. High school, grades 7-12 serving the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana. Central Catholic is an A-rated school by the Indiana Department of Education and has over 450 students. Central Catholic is part of the Lafayette Catholic School System (LCSS). LCSS is a five-campus, pre-K through 12 system that provides a Christ-centered education to Tippecanoe County, Indiana students. More than 1000 students are enrolled system-wide.

Job Summary:

Primary Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, a successful candidate will have the ability to develop students' understanding of history. This position includes 4 sections of junior high Social Studies and 2 sections of high school Social Studies.

Athletic coaching and extra curricular positions may also be available.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

Indiana teaching license to teach the subject or grade for which he/she is applying.
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

Special Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:
Knowledge:

Knowledge of a wide range of history, social studies, economics, or other related areas.
Understands use of Learning Management Systems (Schoology, Canvas, Blackboard, Angel, Moodle, etc.).

Skills:

Strong written and oral communication abilities.
Ability to organize and coordinate work.
Ability to build parent and student relationships.
Ability to collaborate inside and outside of department.

Experience:
Previous junior high or high school teaching experience preferred.
