Job Title: Preschool Teacher
Reports To: Becky Spitznagel, Principal
Role: To provide for the spiritual, academic, social and emotional growth of the students.
Annual Term: 190 days
Essential Duties:
Instructional
1. Plan and conduct daily lessons in accordance with prescribed curriculums.
2. Prepare weekly plans and submit to administrator, as requested.
3. Evaluate and report students’ progress in accordance with local policy.
4. Provide for individual differences and levels of learning among students.
5. Recommend evaluative testing of students in need.
6. Refer students to counselor when necessary.
7. Maintain classroom management (discipline) in accordance with school policy.
8. Complete long-range planning to ensure all standards have been covered.
9. Maintain up-to-date substitute folder.
Professional
1. Maintain a current and valid license.
2. Keep abreast of changes in curriculum and content.
3. Effectively communicate with administrator, other faculty, staff members, and parents regarding all aspects of curriculum, student performance, student behavior, etc.
4. Attend and participate in all faculty meetings.
5. Attend and participate in professional development meetings, conferences and workshops, including diocesan-scheduled events.
6. Attend and participate in religious events, courses and activities (e.g. Mass, prayer service, F.I.R.E. or other mandated religion course).
7. Serve on faculty committees and teams. Be a role model for students and parents by demonstrating a Christian attitude in dealings with others.
8. Cooperate with fellow faculty members and staff in all aspects of school activity.
9. Read and comply with all policies stated in all School and Diocesan Handbooks.
10. Safeguard the exchange of confidential information of students and others in the school.
11. Perform other essential duties as laid forth by administrative directives.

Education/Experience
· CDA (Child Development Associate) or higher education degree (Associate, Bachelor, Master)
· Effective Time Management.
· Good organizational skills.
· Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and volunteers.
· Able to honor and maintain confidentiality.
· Participate in all required Diocesan child safety protocols.
